Jay_harrier Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 As we don't have a board for suspenders I'll put this on here... I've started hacking the billies about & now I have a commitment problem with the welder, the tubes are 2" from the tops, 10" springs, piston stoke of 7" - is that about right?
meXEco Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 I'm doing exactly the same thing on mine-and going for 2" from the top just like you have-seems to be about right.
Jay_harrier Posted June 5, 2007 Author Report Posted June 5, 2007 come round and look at mine ! Already committed to metal now!, what heights, spring lengths, poundages, etc did you use?. Had to bore out the top caps to fit over the inserts tho'
BIG G Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 8" long 220 lb rated and i also had to stick the top caps on a lathe thats where i found the shitty cast ones had blow holes in them.. make sure you cover those threads to stop splatter fecking them up.
