dunno if ive shown this before but what the heck for whoever wants a laugh

 

first registered in 1953 and for anyone that knows owt about them its a TEF-20 aka "Grey Fergie" 2.0 dieself engine developig 23bhp and will hit 20 in lightning fast time :lol: .......i remember the first time i had it running propperly hit 4th gear (with revs) and about flew off the back

gorgeous "patina" faded red, unfortunatly this was before i got into cars and the "rat-look" in the mean time i did this.........

painted it matt black with fireplace paint decided it was a little bare, so gave it a red stripe in hammerite BIG MISTAKE now it looks like a certain van :lol::roll:

 

anyway the waterpumps bust at the moment untill i can locate a replacement and find the time to fit it

I got one of them at home, but its the older petrol/parafin in grey.

Mum wants us to do that one the Anglia/Escy/Isetta's areout the way, not sure what's going on with the Series 2A LR.

Being down here in the oo-arr west country most summer vintage shows have tractor shows and displays too.

 

There was a brace of mint condition TE20's at Morval vintage rally this summer. A revolutionary machine in its day, it effectively put paid to the use of shire horses on farms!

exactly look at the back end of any modern tractor and you see roughly the same hydrolic 3 point linkage Harry Ferguson developed all those years ago then sold it to ford with a simple handshake

The guy whos farm I keep my escort at fixes old tractors and he has 2 fergies and a bloody big david brown 8) I love driving them about, I keep tempting him to stick in a rover v8 :lol: the tractors don't half wheelspin though :D
