The wife got up this morning and has anounced shes "on strike" she done this to me a few years back and it lasted a week, when that happened i just managed to pull through.

ive checked the freezer and microwave rations are low, ive probably got enough to see me and the kids through till wednesday, after that ive got to fuguire out how the oven works etc, how long do you have to pre heat an oven for?

the washing up basket is full, ive got enough clothes to see me through till the end of the weekend, should i even try to fathom out the washing machine or shall i just take em round me mums?

in the meantime expect daft questions about general household appliances etc.

ta.

Pre-heat the oven for 10 mins roughly.

Take a pic of the front of the washing machine and put it on here and we'll try to see what programme to use for stuff .... or .... google the make/model and try and find instructions on the net - they are usually pretty easy to use. I only use one programme for everything on mine - I just stick whites together and coloured stuff together in batches :lol:

Make sure the house is spotless and show her that you can cope on your own

Anything else - just shout :lol:

or go to the other extreme, only eat take aways, turn your pants inside out so they last twice as long etc... then she'll see how much you appreciate/need her :lol:

This is where the training in the OSF camping pays dividends. 'cos all you'd have to do, is pitch the tent up in the garden and use the camping stove to cook.

You'd also keep the house clean, because you won't need to use it :mrgreen::mrgreen:

What Jo said, but in true carrot and stick approach, I'd include the addition of a verbal reminder that strikers don't get paid or qualify for holiday time or pension rights. In fact they normally spend their time on a picket line so invite her to stand outside by an oil barrel with a log burning in it.

Thats because they're written in 'women'...apparently (according to dean!)

Ideal that's the housework taken care of. Now all you have to do is the shopping and washing and you are a fully fledged house husband. Well done, you can do this :lol::lol:

when i'm forced to do something i always go the extra effort and make out theres nothin to it, don't know what she moans about.

then start sujesting she goes out and finds a job that earns the same amount of money as you do so that you can stay home all day watchin the washing machean go round and round :ykt:

that ought to put a stop to the strike :D

also it will really wind them up when you start re-arranging the kitchen

when i was at home and mum wanted help with putting the shopping away i would walk round behind her and every time she put something in the cuboard i would take it out and put it back in the shopping bag

that soon put a stop to that
