Dropped the 200 block off at the machine shop today for a new set of

liners to be fitted back to standard bore, but as the block has already

been linered there might be a problem

Gotta wait and see if it can be done ,hopefully before the end of the

week.

Spoke to my mate who is gonna do the fab work on my inlet manifold as

well today and that should get underway this week,so not all bad

Sound very optimistic to me, I have seen the pace this man works at - usually too busy extracting the urine

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum but have had my fair share of old skool Ford's. I'm thinking about getting myself a Mk2 Cortina again and this is the car that has been in my memory since 1997 and often takes centre stage as my screen saver. I have a picture taken at Ford Fair Cornbury Park I think it was in 1997 but it won't let me post it as I'm new, I'll add it soon.

Keep up the good work Puddy your dash is exactly what I'm after too the flocking and Carbon looks sweet together.

Anyone know of any 2 doors for sale?

cheers J.

wicked car saw it years ago too and it's the reason i bought a MK2 2DR 'tina and now spend my free time getting covered in welding burns and hitting my self in the face with the angle grinder  (seriously see my resto thread)

so i'm blaming you mr puddy

but it'll all be worth it if mine ends up half as good as this

Thanks lads

Well the tale of woe continues!

Spoke to the shop that have my 200 block today, told me they are

stacked out and can't even look at it until the end of jan 2009 !

They have already had it about 3 weeks , so decided

enough is enough and went and picked it up then took it straight to this

lot on ikes recommendation ..........

Should be a couple of weeks but they certainly seemed a bit more

confident

Well, got the block back today, WAHOO!!!!!!!

It looks mint, they've done a fantastic job, and back on standard bores .

Also got the inlet manifold back last week but the extra holes had,nt been

drilled in the runners for my als .

So the manifold went to another mate in a machine shop for a few days and

they are now done, then I dropped it off at another mate who does my

powder coating, on saturday and got that back today as well, phewwwww!

Will post some pics tomorrow

Fitted with a bigger t/b than the previous rs 500 inlet, and all the fittings

under the inlet for the als extra air.

Now running 4 x 1000cc injectors rather than the previous 8x greens.
