PaulAshman Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Well I have my new car and am well chuffed. A tidy 1980 Mk2 estate in Nordic Blue. Now the big question, do I: 1. Leave it standard or 2. Lower it by a couple of inches and sit it on some fat minilites or banded steels. What do you all reckon. Here are some pics of it. Cheers guys, Paul.
Guest MK1gaz Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Smart estate mate but down she goes on 7x13's
v6pop Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Thats well nice, lowered and wheels would be nicer, but its up to you.
john_3.0s Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 tidy motor mate, did u shift the capri in the end then?
MK II Mark Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Here's one I made earlier.... Yours looks really clean mate I'm hoping you will do the right thing, slam it and put wide thirteens on it
trakevlyn Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Leave it standard more people come up to me and say its so nice to see one that has'nt been mucked about with, and in my opinion a standard car is rarer than a modified one nowadays!
PaulAshman Posted July 1, 2007 Author Report Posted July 1, 2007 Thanks guys. John - yes the capper went. MKII MARK - what wheels are on that estate and what amount of lowering did you go? (inches).
bomber1 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 drop it hard on wide steels steels are the new alloys
MK II Mark Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Thanks guys. John - yes the capper went. MKII MARK - what wheels are on that estate and what amount of lowering did you go? (inches). 7 inch superlites and it was lowered an inch at the back and two at the front. I have been toying with some banded steels lately though, like the wheels on your car but an inch and a half wider I better get it back on the road first
antz Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 looks tidy! id drop it on banded steels! i know original cars are harder to come by than modified ones but in the end its your car and u do what YOU ant. plus if you wanna mod it then you can always keep the original bits to convert it back!
Mr.Sumo Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 go on the estates do these give you any ideas m8 ? 2" drop at the front 1" at the back on 7x13s
