i used to drive a very rare 2 door mk5 Cortina (only 482 made to the particular specification).

 

it started life as a 1.6 auto and ended up a heavily modified 2.0

It's your car so do what you want with it! personally I like the stuff that you've posted as being ideas, mabey it's because I like things that are a bit different, or mabey it's just 'cause it would look stupidly cool. Do as you want in the end of the day as you're building a car for you, not for someone else.

I'm sorry, you're never going to be able to win this one. No matter how much people say 'its your car, do what you like' there will always be people who slag it off.

 

It all depends on how thick-skinned you are.

Go ahead and do exactly what you want with it I know where you are coming from, none of my workmates appreciate my mk1 and very little of my freinds like it but feck them, they dont drive it! but the thing that really gets me is them asking how much i paid for it then replying fook you could have built some corsa with that! bastards

my car is in no way shape or form a mex for a start its a 4 door 1300xl but i still want it bright orange with mex stripes and delocked on the front doors and dehandled on the rear doors which to some is a big no no
