Want to fit a LSD to the escort as it looks like i'm gonna have to change the CWP anyway cause its on the way out. Just wondering which type of LSD to get? Im running an english axle with about 160hp for fast road use and maybe a few track days too. Recommendations please and where to get it... Cheers folks

No really, bought a Tran X for mine, plate type, it works well although took a while to bed in but offers all the usual LSD advantages - came from Peter Lloyd Rallying: http://peterlloydrallying.co.uk/index.php?cPath=16

Hi Mate i've got a tran x in mine

Gilli,

For us Irish lads, I think Montgomery Motorsport up north are the best for getting Tran X LSD's from... Check out their website... I think it's www.montgomery-motorsport.co.uk

Just had a look on there and the prices are good,£367 inc postage  do you know if their web prices include vat

Quite suprised no one has mentioned quiafe in this thread yet

I work at a transmissions companys so im quite clued up about LSD's (well the thoery anyway). And ive been taught that you cant really beat a plate-type LSD for the track. However, a torque biased diff works on a gear mechanism and will never need servicing.

This is the kind of diff you will find in fancy road cars. So if its a race car go for a plate type, if not get an ATB
