PaulAshman Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I have now got all my bits as you all know. The only thing is my replacement bumper is not as mint as the one that got damaged. Do you think the one below could be straightened. It is not broke the chrome, just bent. Any thoughts or offers of the straighten would be great. Thanks. Paul.
Admin Vista Posted July 24, 2007 Admin Report Posted July 24, 2007 I guess anything is worth a try, but I suspect it would be very difficult to get the creases out. I'm assuming it's an insurance job? If it's the only way to bring it back to pre-accident condition, then why not get the replacement one rechromed on the insurance?
Copey Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 i doubt it will, the chrome will crack as you bend it again, worth a try tho
marky4 Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 even if the chrome doesn't crack i think you would have trouble getting rid of the creases ask the insurance if the replacement could be re chromed you never know they might say yes or may say will only pay up to half the cost, who knows
