Johnson Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 liking that alot mate, cool colour. whats the plan for the 1300?
Chevette1256 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Report Posted August 23, 2006 cheers for the comments folks, I'm unsure what shade of green it is, its darker than signal green yet lighter than java green so pea green could be a possibility Tom - gona size it up next to the car to see how it looks, then decide, either full kit or nothing at all Johnson - not sure yet, I'm thinking along the lines of a rebore to a 1380,lightend and balanced flywheel etc etc basically give it to my engine builder and see what he suggests Cheers Gaz
Chevette1256 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Report Posted August 24, 2006 heres some more pics of under the bonnet,boot floor etc etc... http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/9043/dscf0532qk6.jpg http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/9489/dscf0533jo3.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/1896/dscf0534hb5.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/9021/dscf0535wr8.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9764/dscf0536pc6.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/919/dscf0537af5.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/1979/dscf0538vz2.jpg http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/3808/dscf0539ts7.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/8012/dscf0540mc1.jpg http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/7349/dscf0542zu2.jpg Cheers Gaz

Just thought i'd get permission 1st lol. Really nice car, lurrrrvvveee the colour. Noticed the car in a previous post it was next to a mk2 escort i think. Keep at it.
Chevette1256 Posted August 25, 2006 Author Report Posted August 25, 2006 yeah no probs mate feel free to use any pics any time, if you would like any other pics just ask, and yeah it was parked up next to my bro's signal green escort a few times in the pics
Chevette1256 Posted October 23, 2006 Author Report Posted October 23, 2006 **INTERIOR UPDATE** At the weekend I finally got my sparco bucket seats fitted to the fez after them lying in my mums house for the past 6 months or longer I decided it was time to shift them, I also borrowed/took my brothers old 4 point harnesses, here some pics: after fitting the bucket seats, I decided it was time to get rid of the 6x9's that were just placed under the rear seats and tidy up all the wiring but after taking them out and seeing the wiring I thought it was best to either take it all out and start again, or just go without the stereo. So next time I'm working on the car, the stereo will be long gone heres a pic of the wiring I got from under the carpet: I also fitted 50mm lowering springs on the front but no pics because the engine isn't in so doesn't make much difference just now. (you can also see the lovely bit of overspray on the dash thats supposed to be black, not half green ) as you can tell my plans have changed a little, so heres an update on "current plans" PREVIOUS PLANS - tidy up spotlight wires, only work sometimes, and wire heats up rapidly (still to do) - possibly refurb speaker brackets X - buy uprated speakers for rear, and possibly fit 6x9's (not sure where yet ) X - fit RS Turbo front recaros (need to modify subframes) X - possible new head unit X NEW PLANS - get a rear strut brace - rear cage (maybe a full cage depending on £££) - fit engine once it comes back from the engine builders - buy 'L' plates and tax so I can learn to drive In regards to the engine, I'm getting the 1.1 rebuilt just now for when I'm learning/first start driving then a possiblly move onto a high spec 1300 will keep you all updated on what I do
Chevette1256 Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 Cheers HAZZAR I just came on to update this **Small Update** couple of pics of the rear cage, its only in place just now, hopefully get it bolted down tomorrow (pics are from my camera phone):- Next steps : - - fully fit the cage - fit harnesses - then back in with the engine if I ever get it back Cheers
Admin Mk2Jo Posted November 14, 2006 Admin Report Posted November 14, 2006 Looking good mate and coming together nicely ... you must be well chuffed
