Pye Man Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1979-FORD-ESCORT- ... dZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1973-Ford-Escort- ... dZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1971-Ford-Escort- ... dZViewItem All seems a bit wonky donky to me like, they are way too cheap. The seller is brand new and joined only yesterday!!!
orionmojo Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 and they're all exactly the same price! quality. the thing is, my dad looks at those on ebay and says "they're not worth that kind of money!" the fact that he used to get £7 a ton 12 years ago for them hasn't left his head
ann_capri Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 i had a look at then as well and thought they looked a bit fishy, and its always in the classified ad section, i wonder why ebay have not spotted it themself and what other types of cars on there new and old are having the same thing done to them
Arched Escy Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 ive asked to view the white mk2 so i'll tell you what he says.
Pye Man Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 These people should be nailed!! (If they are doing wrong, which they seem to be) Watch what your doing tho
tim Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 it bets its not even a person doin it,sure you could make a programe to copy and paste add's with automatic replys giving the same reply each time.
andy a Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 The people behind these cons are undoubtedly the same people behind the 419 acams (normally sent via email claiming someones died in Africa and they need help to claim millions of dollars and the lottery scams), you will het a standardised reply because most of the "lads" behind the scams dont speak English, its only people higher up who speak it. They sit in internet cafes across Nigeria trying to scam people out of money (its the 4th biggest industry in Nigeria ) I've baited scammers for over 4 years (sad but everybody needs a hobby, and whilst I'm wasting their time their not conning someone who's a bit gullible) and have had scams that have started in Nigeria and South Africa then get passed to conmen further up the food chain in Canada, the US into Europe (Hollands a favorite) and into the UK, the people who run these scams are believe it or not usually university educated through the UK, if you intend winding them up make sure that you never give them any details that are personally identifying or could give out your address (pop 3 email accounts can be traced by the ip in the header), some of these people are known gang leaders and even murderers and people have gone missing through winding them up, that said enjoy
Pye Man Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 Crikey!!!! Thats scary sh!t that. Guess there sadly has to be bad people to distinguish the good ones
Twinkle Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 it bets its not even a person doin it,sure you could make a programe to copy and paste add's with automatic replys giving the same reply each time. but what would a computer want the money for tim? surely it must be a person doin it
aden Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 asked last night to view bazs car and what a surprise no reply! reported it to e bay but dont suppose they will do anything
orionmojo Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 maybe ebay should employ a new idea, you have to buy at least one item and obtain good feedback before you can sell. this wouldn't be a problem for any real dealers i'd imagine
