hollie85 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Hi guys, i have a problem with my capri - its crooked - sits much lower on the passenger side than the drivers. The rear springs were pretty knackered so they all been replaced and my step dad has spent the last week messing around with it, its much better but he can't get it properly level - would be really grateful for any ideas?? would replacing front springs help at all? cheers

crapichris Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 might just need settling down if your lucky. Also check the saddle bolts are done up tight. They are meant to be done up when the car is on the ground - not when it's up in the air on axle stands. If the front springs are low check they ain't broken. Speed humps got mine last year.
Arched Escy Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 on my mates cossie mk2 escort the drivers side is lower cos the last owner was a bit on the big side.
Supercharged Nat Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 i agree with the others, it should be done with the car on the ground and all bolts loose. then tighten them all up. its then down to the front end, so prob worn springs/ or one broken.
X-pack-Glyn Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 i had this on a 1600, it didnt sit level at the back, the front was fine, it turned out to be a broken FRONT spring!
hollie85 Posted August 16, 2007 Author Report Posted August 16, 2007 Hey everyone just wanted to say ta very much - replaced the front springs and its straightened up nicely!
