Mr Sam Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 escort rally car pulls up to a local classic night i immediatly (briskly) walk over with a grin like a cheshire cat 'whats in it. BDA?' before the poor guy has time to even get out the car he said it was then popped the bonnet thats a BDG to me or have i got my wires totally crossed its a propper works rally car got the dents and dings to prove it and its still used on nearly a daily basis and apparently has rather alot of poke! he had just got back from a massive road trip to spain and caused quite a stir going through quaint french villages

Fiesta Steve Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 fiesta steve i just posted that and then deleted it because i wasnt sure lol is it the warrior head ? Don't know m8, something along those lines
Arched Escy Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 aye its pinto based by the looks of things....bdg had carbs the other side
Mr Sam Posted August 5, 2007 Author Report Posted August 5, 2007 yep its pinto he's using a 205 block as an ally one costs 4 grand and deffinatly not a warrior head thats a warrior
V8ian Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Dunno, Looks like a BDG, but its not, certainly not a BDA as the dissy is in the wrong place. in fact I think it has the dissy in the wrong place for ALL the BD series as I think they were all based around the Kent block, The dissy is in the right place for a YB, and it make me wonder if its not a dressed Cosworth Sierra engine
tim Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 not a bda carbs are on the wrong side, right side for a warrior, might just been a different cam cover
tim Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 what mk1 is that in?reconise the engine bay,has it got red writin on the side
tim Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 yea thats the car i was thinkin of sure its a warrior with a different cam cover, the name warrior has had 3/4 owner so various different designs
seventynine Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 its not a cossie, its definatly 100% pinto, im thinking holbay or vega twin cam?
Mr Sam Posted August 5, 2007 Author Report Posted August 5, 2007 thats a point as the one above is the latest owner connaught
tim Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 warrior is owned by connaught now, used to be owned by holbay,i think that 1 of the many varrients of warrior just with a non warrior type head, sounds the nuts tho, seen it a few times at shows
