best spark plugs for 1600 xflow

just wondering what would be the best spark plugs for my 1600 xflow, what do you guys use? as the ones i have are awful as the fella just wacked them in. so what is the best to use and to what spec as like i say im starting from scratch and want to know exactly what im getting , aslo i dont have any manuals

I'm not an expert but I asked the same question and am happy with the answers so if you have a standard 1600 NGK R 7's would be good however if your lump is tweaked you will do better to go for NGK R 8's

One thing i do no is that Motorcraft are rubbish, many a bad experience of them corroding into the head of cvh engines and snapping off, back when i worked in a garage and never seemed to happen with NGK

No the're not...if they were then why have so many variants?...anyway you need the correct plug for the spec of the engine, some plugs run hotter and some colder, for performance engines a colder plug is used i seem to remember, for standard engines a hotter one. The plug is the thing that sparks so if they are crap then you'll be down on power, getting the correct spark gap is important to

im sure its more important on performance engines but on my bog standard crossflow im not so sure

I would go for some NGK B6ES or B7ES
