sounds like you got water in the system as the white i think you will find is caused by poss head gasket problum mate as the water is mixing in the oil causeing more like steam what coulou is your oil is it a milky colour if so you have a lot of water in it is it coffee colour than that point to head gasket you can check the water take the rad cap off and look for oil deposits sitting om the water mate you dont need to over heat to have a head gasket problum is it smocking any ware else is the rocer cover gettin hot that it burns it could be just the rubber pershied on the oil cap

once had a renult 21 est drove that around for 12 months with the head gasket gone mate

it sound if do its breathing mate not a lot you can do if thats the case is it a 1.6or 2.0 as tiz has a block if its any-help mate but its 1.6 the only other thing you can try is to check ware the oil flows through pipes and the engine to make sure you have no blocks to make sure its not built up pressure mate

my money's on rings or head gasket. the only way to find out os to whip the head off, or take it to a garage and get them to do a head leak test on it. is there pressure in the radiator???

what will a compression test tell me ? will that tell me if its a cracked head or rings ?

i wanna find out what it is if its just the head ill whip this one off and put my old one back on if its the rings ill get a whole other engine

My money on rings, compression test it as is then squirt oil in the bores and test it again, if there's a big difference then its rings/worn bores.

But could be head gasket or cracked head as the others have said, whichever way you look at it the head is coming off :(
