If its a race only car the go Glass, if its a daily driver then go steel.

Glass will crack, and if your paying for the paint, whats another 450 on top . Also the weight... by the time all the filler is in they weigh the same as steel.

Grp ones should be riveted on the rears with no filler and the fronts should be complete wings.

i had my fibreglass front wings with bubbles from gs escorts, to be honest they could have been better the mould must have been pretty deformed when mine were done, the edges all need reworking and the gel coat is a bit thin.

rear bubbles were ok though, riveted, bonded and then filled, not sure how long fibreglass ones will last in the elements but its definately cheaper than steel ones and are pretty strong, you can lift the car with them

In between minds now, but would I be right and saying that smith & deakin would be the best to go to for glass?

i have heard only good things about smiths and deakins fibreglass parts. They used to make wings for 100e's and a few of my dads maytes used to use them for sprinting.
