dyt397c Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 just a few pics and a bit of info on my anglia. its a 1965 Super and runs a 3 litre essex v6. swaymar inlet and 390 holley, fast road cam, elec ign etc etc. narrowed 3 litre axle, `glass bonnet,wings,front panel,doors and boot. perspex windows. 5.5x13front and 8x15 rear Superlights. Nitrous oxide `sniper`plate kit. being painted Satin black this weekend,hopefully, then proper paint job next winter.

dyt397c Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 A few more pics of the car,now it`s Satin black. not bad for a `garage` job using aerosols!! and the reason i`ve gone for bigger wheels on the back is because 13`s wouldn`t go over the discs.

First run, no burn-out, staged, green light came on, nailed it then Bang!! something in the axle let go! only rolled about 15 foot!! i was gutted!! havnt been under it yet to see what the damage is. i`m still too pi$$ed off!!
dyt397c Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 Started stripping the engine down yesterday ready for a rebuild. I`m having the crank x-drilled,flywheel lightened and everything balanced, Stage 3 heads,roller rockers, ali rocker covers, pistons cerama-coated, full-race cam and this- Wade ro/34 supercharger! it`ll be running at 7psi to start with and i`m putting 50bhp of nitrous through it aswell. Should be ready for first meeting next year

dyt397c Posted November 15, 2007 Author Report Posted November 15, 2007 It broke a halfshaft at the hot rod drags. it had been shortened and welded back together but not sleeved! thats been done now tho(and the other side) but i`m expecting them to go again with the extra horses i`m putting in to it,so i`m having a pair made in the same material the formula 1 cars use for their shafts. my mates coming round tonight to measure up for the snout on the blower and then take it away and start putting it all together.
