Traders insurance....

Im thinking of traders insurance as im always seem to be picking up cars and doing work on other peoples cars.

 

my insurance doesnt cover me to drive other cars, so i either have to get them to drop the car off or temp cover on my insurance..

 

Does anyone have a policy and can you reccomend any companies that do it and how much should i expect to be paying

I pay £110 for my classic policy with HIC for my Fiesta.

 

That allows me to drive any car not belonging to me.

its a bit of a minefield, what you need is a minimum of 3rd party road risks, you can put limits on it like max value of cars drivin etc, mine when i was valeting was £350 a year but i had to be covered to a maximum value of £100k as i was dealing with new jags and porsches, it also included 2.5 million public liabilty insurance. best bet is to shop around mate, sorry i can't help more but good luck.

Watch trade policys some wont cover cars after a certain age, like my trade policy covers me Mk5 but not me Mk3 (only covers the Mk3 TP whereas my policy is TFT).

Also you need to check on normal poicys, usually in the small print it states the car you are borrowing must have a seperate insurance cover before you are coverd by your own policy (this is how my classic policy is)
