Durham Fiesta Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 anyone on here work on their cars in a single garage??? how easy is it or is it a total pain in the rectum???
old skool freestyler Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 i have a signal garage mate and its not to bad would be nice to have a double but get what ya can and all
pauln Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 It's better than working outdoors just. Restored 3 cars in mine so far (not all at once).
turner Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Ive resto'd 4 cars in a single garage no probs.i can usually nick a corner of my mates workshop but if he's too busy then the trusty single garage has to do the job.space can be tight sometimes when u have all the panels off and stood around the sides of the car but you can do it all from resprays to engine swaps.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I have a 20 foot by 10 foot, so it's just a bit wider than a regular single garage.
Admin Vista Posted October 7, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 7, 2007 There's single garages and there's single garages. I can't really do anything in mine and it has no power / lighting either, so it all comes out onto the drive to do anything.
escort21 Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Outside Agreed...the proper oldskool way...

Wessie Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Driveway??? Pure luxury Wessie In the road or on the dirt round here i didnt mean driveway literally ! that would be luxury ! i meant neighbours lawns, our front lawn and a dirt/stone/mud/tree-root patch rain or shine im there
Durham Fiesta Posted October 7, 2007 Author Report Posted October 7, 2007 i'm not allowed on the drive anymore since is got done with some fancy new block gonna see if i can get all the shit out and get the car in so can actually get some light to work on a night
hellblue Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I have built a few cars in a single garage,I now have a double but dont think that helps as it has two cars in it but a roof over your head is better than not
Mick The Mig Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 See Noodles Project Sleeper. All done outside, I wont let him in the garage he makes to much mess.
Stu_B Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I can just get down one side of my car & the door opens enough to get in, it's ok when it's raining!! You have to strategically park depending on which bit of body you want to tackle next, but generally I get it out on the drive if the weather is good
