Daggle Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Anyone know anything about these cars?? Im going up to look at one this afternoon and was wondering what other ppls opinions on them are? This is it Also after doing some research, it can be chipped up from 155bhp to 185bhp, but the torque is the main thing as it goes from 390nm up to 423nm. Yes I know its plastic however I value other ppls opinions
4parajon Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Well I like them mate, think Ive got the same engine in my Mazda 5 Sport. If it is the same its a good engine, pulls really well and not too noisy for a diesel, the fella who lives directly opposite me has a 4 year old Mondeo Ghia X diesel and when he starts his in the morning it sounds like a right bloody tractor.
tazrocks88 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 there kin awsome my mate has 1 it goes like sh!t off a shovel prefer the blue 1 but thats wkd
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Superb motor young Daggle Go & buy it!!!
mk1mexico Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 They look very nice however a FORD dealer friend told me to make sure they have had the fuel pump replaced. If it goes it collapses and sends a load of metal filings to the injectors and gives you a big bill. Apparently the retail on the injectors alone is 300 quid EACH!!! thats without replacing all lines and the pump itself. So if you buy one get an 80 quid pump put on it. Im not sure if it wasnt a recall on the later models.
RFChris Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Superb motor young Daggle Go & buy it!!! Seconded.
Admin Vista Posted October 8, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 8, 2007 I hired a TDCI ghia once, and was preparing myself for a dull drive as I had to transport 5 adults to Oxford for the weekend and expected it to be slow. Well how wrong I was! It went like shit of a shovel, had a 6 speed gearbox, all the toys, loads of room and I was hugely impressed by the quality feel to it. If I hadn't had a blue oval staring at me from the centre of the steering wheel I'd have thought I was driving something much more up market.
emu Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 If I hadn't had a blue oval staring at me from the centre of the steering wheel I'd have ................. .......Been driving a 'Jaguar'
louie bagel Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 check rear subframe bushes as they are commen also commen are the handbrake cables seizing, haven't seen many pumps go wrong on them but injector pipes sometimes fail, tracking is easily knocked out and the tyres wont last long also rather pricey to replace, but on the plus they are awesome to drive
Daggle Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 Well I went up and had a look at it, its got a few marks on it but nothing major. However I just couldn't get excited about the drive , it was fine, but if im spending 12k on a motor then I want something a bit more exciting, so for now, im still looking
