Its not that I did not want to reply, but wanted to check facts first but as you are nagging (lol) my educated answer (I did go to skool) is no. I have had a number and been to quite a few AVO days and never seen one with that colour combination. I will check in the AVO club X files book this evening.

I am sure you will get some more answers (come on Vista RS).

Sounds a good combination though.

Consults AVO bible, i.e. X files edition of HAVOC.........

Two Red AVO colours

Sunset Red from August 70 to July 72 Colour code J

and

Sebring Red from Aug 72 to Jan 75 Colour Code N

The First colour wasn't available on the RS2000, but the 2nd was, and according to the "Bible" it came with either orange decals or a black pinstripe.

It also says that mk1 RS2000's were never produced plain and if the decal delete option was selected it came with a pinstripe instead, the only exception to this rule being the black one that only came with a gold pin stripe, further any RS2000 that was ordered with a vinyl roof automatically only came with a pin stripe.

Ultimately though mate it's your car and if you like it then do it, it sounds an attractive pairing to me.
