Has anyone ever seen a ghost?

I havent but i was night fishing the lake totally alone and heard something behind the bivvy, i woke up instantly and this feckin tramp looked in, propper shit meself i did.

I believe I have seen one. I used to go to a boarding school called Bronte House in Leeds (I wasn't a boarder but I'd stay for tea, as I couldn't get picked up until late).

 

We used to do the Ouija Board (I was about 11 at the time). One winters evening (at around 5pm) one of the lads came running in saying they could see something on the front lawn. We went out, and at the end of the front lawn there was what looked like a doris in a long dress, and a man kneeling down in front of her, as if proposing. So, a couple of the brave ones started walking towards it, and the bell went for tea, so we had to go inside.

 

When we came out, it had gone.

 

However, I have a very very long story about the experiences my dad had whilst working at Rimmingtons Chemist in the centre of Bradford. In the months following the owners death half a dozen of the staff (including my dad) experienced strange goings on.

 

These included:

 

Items on display falling off shelves.. or rather flying off shelves.

The smell of the owners cigar smoke in the store room.

Curtains flying across the canteen whilst the two women in there were talking about the ghostly goings on.

Displays falling over (onto a customer in one case).

And the final thing, the owners daughter was talking to one of the other staff further down the shop, and a bottle of Clearosil moved off a high shelf horizontally and drop to the floor. They both saw it do it. And they screamed. This was on a Saturday afternoon when the shop was busy.

nothing personally but my aunts house was haunted, or so i have been told, things would go missing and then turn up in places that you just couldnt miss, like she lost the TV remote for a week when she had first moved in, thought she had left it behind in her old house, so she gets a new TV and then sits down on the sofa and sits on the OLD tv remote, she came down one morning to find all the draws in her kitchen open she thought it must have been a break in, but ther wer no signs and nothing taken, she said she saw people that looked like old roman soldiers walk past the living room window once but when she looked out ther was nothing, a couple of nights later it happened to her when she was upstairs, a roman helmet bobbed past the window, went to look, again, nothing, she was really spooked and got the house blessed, and for the next couple of months nothing happened, then one morning she got up and everything, went to go to work her car wasnt on the dive but on the lawn all the windows rolled down, doors, boot and bonnet all open, music playing and the 4-ways on, thing is that ther is no way of gettin the car into that position it was facing the house with an inch gap between the house and the car and about 1/2 a foot between the rear bumper and the wall

 

in the end it turned out all the new houses had been built on a Roman burial ground

Up until the other day I recorded that I have experienced 111 paranormal experiences ever since I was 8 (20 years) including seeing over 25 full manifestations (ghosts) both human & animal.

perhaps you might just be nuts.... like my missus, she "sees things"..

 

told me one night she see a mk1 escort estate (yes, she does know what one looks like) overtake her with its bumper dragging on the road then vanish right in front of her, turned out to be a lad who was killed that night over 21 years ago in the said vehicle.

 

another time i drove over a bridge on the hemel to leighton road coming back late at night from devon, we drove over the bridge and the wife just starts crying and saying "emily died here", im like WTF , she looked it up and true enough a girl drowned in the river many years ago.

yes ive seen a ghost and a few other ghostly things too

 

i lived in a big three storey house as a kid and previously a old lady had died in the house

 

i always shit myself in that house (not knowing a old lady had died in there at this time) i always felt a pressance and once when i was 9 years old heard funny noises and saw a white finger point around my bedroom door frame (i was on the top floor)

 

shit myself and ran down stairs and went to school

 

many years later i was about 16 now i was still on the top floor and i was in my bedroom about 10 o clock and heard the stairs creek thought it was my brother coming up stairs so didnt look round straight away but when i did look round i saw a old lady about in her 80s walking up the last three stairs dressed in violet and grey with a grey hat on and a violet ribon on it holding onto the banister as she got on the last step she disapeared so i didnt see her feet/foot wear but saw evey thing else

 

it was after this when i spoke to a x neighbour (also a old lady) who told me the of a old lady (and a name) who had died in the house

not me, but my great nan bought a huge old chest from a market. it had really old fashioned little bow peep children's wallpaper inside it. my auntie had strange things happen, hands around her neck, doors jamming and not letting people through etc. they had a medium come in and have a look at it, and they suggested getting it as far away as possible, and not to destroy it as it was a certain kind of spirit (i forget the name) and it would move onto something else. it was chucked into a canal with some heavyweight ballast.

lived with a ghost called Marianne for 11 years. she was a little Victorian girl who met an early death due to an old fashioned fire poker. It was either her dad or her uncle that killed her. she looked like "Claudia" in Interview With A Vampire and she had a wicked sense of humour.

 

One night when my upstairs neighbours were having a particularly loud party (and I was trying to get my son who was a baby at the time to sleep) she "appeared" in their lounge. Much screaming followed and the party broke up minutes later

 

I used to frequently hear her crying - sometimes over the baby monitor - rush to Sam's bedroom and he would be sound asleep.

Its amazing all these ghostly sighting and there is not one piece of conclusive evidence to prove ghosts exist... photographic or video...

When I was down seeing Neil a lady told us about the ghost of a biker that she'd met one night in her pub. The landlady said that the biker was like a normal human being and not ghostly at all. So maybe we've all actually seen ghosts but we've not known it. Just how many ghosts do appear as normal looking people and not all freaky and white like we all believe them to look like.

Legend has it that that neer whare i live (just next to humberside airport) a U S sirvice man stationed at goxhill airfeild in the war was killed on his moterbike when he hit a deer in the woods neer whare humberside airport now is he was in full flying gear rideing a M21 bsa bike, now i have never seen the ghost of the rider but an old chap in the village whare i live was overtaken on the road on the exact spot whare this bloke died by this ghost rideing his moterbike in full flying gear.

I've seen things on a few occasions, they range from people to just getting a bizzare feeling about something being here with me. I've also seen our local wild panther near where my house is.

never seen one myself, but there are supposed to be loads in the town i live in on the old railway lines, in the Red Lion pub ect where my brother worked they had a ghost, one of the blokes built his F1 stock car in the workshop at nights and weekends and one night heard a clunk behind him then another closer so he looked round, nothing so he carried on welding and heard the clunk again as though it was getting close to him so just said here you have a go and held the weld torch out. dont think he heard as many noises after that.
