Noodles Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Went to do final check to get the pinto started, no oil pressure. **Hour f`in and blinding** Did`nt know you had to prime the oil pump before you put it in, had to lift the engine back out and sort it out. Your all gonna hate me on this site for stupid problems like this! And I had no replies

over_head_cam Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Half my old posts have been culled or generally lost, but I did find this on the last page of "Find all posts by over_head_cam" . . . . . . Nothing has the clean simple classic look of a pre-80's ford. I don't think it's just about age, there's other things to consider too. Take a look at an old ford. Find a bit you like - An Anglia bonnet, a Mex arch, or even a bit of trim on the pillar of a 1600e. Look at it and imagine.... a person, with a pencil and paper took an idea form their mind and drew that part out by hand and a model maker sculpted it from whatever medium was required. Look at that part and all the other parts that make up the OSF and consider if a modern car can be in the same league..... I was quite proud of that post
Fiesta Steve Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 I think mine ended with me being told 45's are to big for the x-flow I have 48's now
emu Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 My first post was deleted in the mists of time by the looks of things. But I seem to remember the first significant post I made involved a welder, a fire extinguisher and a char-grilled mk2 escort ghia

tazrocks88 Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 my amazing first post made Nov 18, 2006 hey im simon, im 18 and im a student. Just bought my dream first car of a 1974 mk1 1300xl escort! wat can i say well i have wanted one for years and have just managed 2 find 1 in my price bracket and area. it has been dry stored since 1992 so is in realy good nik. so now starts the work i guess!!! the paint work is in a bit of a poor condition so i am going 2 totaly strip it and probably paint it the mexico orange. i have also decided 2 remove the back door handles 2 make it look more like the 2 door as i think it looks better. i have a set of rs alloys i will be putting on it as i think they finish a mk1. and the rest is as and when it comes 2 it and when i have the funds.
