prefectopop Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 After months of stress, tandrums, spanner throwing, and extremely latenights/early mornings, Mitchville Autobodies is now opening its doors for business. Based on the Isle of Sheppey, Mitchville's is a new bodyshop offering a specialist service to the classic, custom and muscle car scene. It's been set up by Simon (deluxemk1 on here). He has about 15 years experience in the trade and has worked mainly on Porsches, Ferraris and the like but now has decided to take the step and go it alone! This isn't just another bodyshop, it's run for people like us by people like us. Si has a '64 Cortina Deluxe, which he has spent a fortune on over the past few years. It will be out next year on the scene so keep an eye out! He's also repaired and painted my project, a 1959 Ford Pop, which hopefully I'll get back to finishing in the near future. We're also into drag racing (which is why we got the unit in the first place!), and have a couple of projects on the go at the moment. Whatever, we'll probably be there from around 10 onwards and I would expect it to go on into the evening so as many people can get there as possible!

It's been in a garage in Maidstone since then. The bodyshop has kinda taken over, but hopefully Si will get his arse in gear and get it finished over the winter! We're gonna try and get it up to the 'shop for the open doo too!

Just got given the photos today as its been fitted up after Si painted it a couple of weeks ago. On it's way to the workshop In the process of rubbing down and repairing And with the top coat applied... And now all fitted up again! Another OSF back on the road!

I know this is clashing with the boxhill do on sat 17th.Can people please let me know if this is a rubbish date for me to do this I hear the boxhill do is normally all wrapped up at tea time normally.We gonna do this well into the night for those who would like to come .If a lot of people want to go but cant cos of this show please let me know and il reschedule for the next weekend.Should be hot rods n stuff as well cos im building a mad dragster as well as my old fords .Thanks for the compliment daz am I going to see this anglia soon ?Not seen it since we picked it up mate! Pelvin ,BHRA are coming down be good to see you mate and you only live at the end of the road as well so you can drink

Yep your going to be painting the wing on it where my ex-neighbour managed to scratch it getting the engine out.....
