PIG Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 the brands day was shit hot last time, may be doing the tuesday now as they have added an extra day for the up coming retrotrack day.car off the road in november for a proper make over ready to attack the roads and tracks where ever it goes .av-it
RETRO_AL Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Maybe there should be a osf track championship? theres plenty of us so booking a track or airfield would not cost that much? If anybody fancys snetterton next saturday i think there is more spaces
LEONMEX Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Snetterton last year three of us went in osf's & opened a few eyes
tim Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 old skool ford sprint championship windy is orginising, think he had 4 cars out this year
Danmex Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 I'd be interested when I get my beast back on the road

RETRO_AL Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 old skool ford sprint championship windy is orginising, think he had 4 cars out this year I wanted to do this, but unfortunalty the venues were to far for me to travel, it would have cost me more towing the car there than running it only can afford the odd trackday
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 21, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 21, 2007 old skool ford sprint championship windy is orginising, think he had 4 cars out this year As you know Timmy, sprinting isn't cheap And not everyone wants to apply for an MSA Nat B Non Race licence Venues are all Midlands way as well and, as you know, people don't always want to travel
Tuffty Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Don't get me wrong there are some impressive 1/4 mile weapons on OSF, but at the end of the day, driving a car in a straight line isn't the most challenging of motorsports. Bulding and driving a car which is not only fast, but can also go round corners, sorts the men from the boys. Although I can't claim to be able to do either LOL Bring on some track day action
over_head_cam Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 I'd love to get an OSF 'round the bends.. ..but who's paying?
PIG Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 we would all pay our own way, just need to find some where to do it and someone to sort it out really.that is the the big question imo.the more that say yes the cheaper it will become for eveyone
tim Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/ will set up and run club own track days, you pay then and turn up
LEONMEX Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/ will set up and run club own track days, you pay then and turn up Been to watch one of there track days at woodbridge & they had the black flag out for people hanging the arse out on there cars coming out of bends, also really strict on noise. So not really the group for us Done the track day at snetterton with "motorsport vision" & they were the business.

LEONMEX Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 black flagged Yes mate, get your stuff & go basically. I would be seriously annoyed if i got flagged for hanging the back end of my escort out on a track. I could understand if it was out of control & i was being a proper pest but these people that got black flagged could drive.
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Most trackdays are the same these days . Your cars too noisey , your cars too sideways , your not allowed too race . Your best not bothering and terrorise the trading estate instead !!!!!
tim Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 find a local motor club and go 'tarmac tyre testing'
