andytechno Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 yesterday i went to see a ford breakers near where i live and asked if he had any 2.o piontos in the yard,he said the only pinto hes got is a 165 block do u lot think its woth buying for my mk2 escort.he said he wants 100quid for the engine,gearbox,flywheel,bellhousing and all the mounts and a swap for my crossflow and auto box discuss.

andytechno Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Posted October 22, 2007 the guy who owns the yard is my friends dad.he rang him a few weeks ago to see if he had a 2.0.he said he will have a look.that was the deal for a 2.0 pinto,plus everything i need to do the conversion,but when i went round unexpectidly yesterday he said hes only got a 1.6.o.so ime unsure anyway.i do trust ime not being ripped off by some random guy trying to palm me orf wit a fooked engine cus its a friends dad.but the 1.6 things putting me right off atm. please discuss more and thanx for ure replys

X-pack-Glyn Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 If youre fitting the pinto in an escort i have a modded steel sump and pick up that will help you on your way. i also have a very sweet 1600 pinto if you want it. £50 for the sump or £100 for sump and engine, i only removed it to fit a 2 litre. in my opinion the 1600 whilst not giving the same grunt as a 2 litre is a much sweeter reving engine and stronger PM me if youre interested in any of the parts mentioned.
