Female Horror Killers

My wife asked me an interesting question tonight.

 

Name some female horror film killers.

 

There's plenty of male ones (Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger, Norman Bates, Leatherface, Michael Myers) but not so many female ones. I can only think of her from The Ring (or Ringu) and her from The Grudge. I can't remember either of their names, but they both look the same.

 

So, list here for me any female killers from horror films

The Adams Family isn't really a horror film. I'm after killers in the same vein as Friday The 13th.

Some good suggestions there, but aren't they all thrillers rather than horror?

 

The Craft, perhaps borderline because it's about the occult.

I've not seen Urban Legend. I've just read the synopsis on IMDB. Is the killer female?

 

Misery, SWF - Both thrillers. There's also Monster which is a thriller.

 

I'm more thinking slasher horror flick than edge of seat thriller.
