V8ian Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 I was just doing a bit of surfing about weights and measures trying to find out the difference between the Imperial and US gallon, What I did find out there is a SCOTISH GALLON, it is bigger than the Imperial gallon, get a scottish gallon, and it is THREE times the size of the imperial gallon,----------------------------Right Im off to scotland with a can ot two,
bomber1 Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 just over a hundred mph and a lot of steam oh sorry i thought we was talking about the flying scotsman yeah and i bet theres 3times the amount of tax on the scottish gallon
Pipster007 Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Does that mean it's no wonder they're alcoholics..........................Do they get 3 pints to every one of ours
angliaalan Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 just because we are on the right side of the border a gallon of petrol is just the same as it is on the wrong side of the border so a gallon is a gallon and a pint is a pint and both are to expensive
RS264 Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Gimme, gimme! I want a Scottish gallon! The Scot heritage is calling me. Gotta go. It looks like the Darwin Stubbie has competition!
Mr Sam Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 however it is true that a scottish mile is longer than a nomal mile for the amount of bloody hills you have to go up and down thats what my maths teacher up there said anyway, i might be gooing way oop north for xmas
