escort21 Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 but my capri has fallen to bits again ...brake pedal goes down slowly until it hits the floor but pumps up ok so i can stop ......diagnosis...brake master cylinder?....ideas please.....
GT_Jim Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 sounds like air in the system could just need a bleed
john_3.0s Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 if its suddenly gone its sounds like the master cyliner. Give the system a good bleed and check the wheel cylinders and front calipers for leaking fluid. if it all looks ok and assuming all the pipework and all the unions are nice and dry then its more than likely ya master cylinder. You can get repair kits but personally i normally change the whole thing esp if its 20 odd years old. good luck bud
capriclive Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 check rear wheel cylinders. sounds like ones leaking.
