wow now i must say ive had 2.8 capris and other reasonably quick cars before but non of them have scared the shit out of me before now . ive just got in and am still shaking .(not joking ) anyways took the car out for a spin today but its been wet around here and its just dangerous every time i even blip the throttle around a bend it just steps out .

in a straight line i only have to put my foot down a little bit and it spins the back wheels in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th no shit and because its got lsd aswell it tend to go sideways a stupid speeds .

the car is dangerous it almost makes me not wana drive it or do ya get used to it .

not even putting my foot to the deck either .

slot mags might be getting sold or if anyone wants a swap i want 15x8 . also got racing tyres on them .

sorry about vids can someone turn them around .

sounds nice mate :D what sort of mpg do u get out of these rover things?

i opted to stay with a pinto because of MPG on a v8 but im doing 150miles to a full tank anyway!! might aswell stick a bigger one in, a mate has got one in his garage his offered me before but i said no.

and about the getting used to it, i went from nackered 1.6 that got beaten by everything, to a 30k miles 2.1 warm pinto. took it out in the rain and gave it some round a bend, went straight round! shit myself for the first few days but used to it now, ive had it in there a few months now and it gets abused everywhere, not half as powerful as that v8 i know but still

sound the nuts mate. im trying to find my old mk1 capri v8. i sold it to a guy in ellesmereport abouy 4 yrs ago. it was orange with a turbo'd 302 ford v8 in it, jag irs running 12s and was called hocus pocus when it was build in the 70s. any ideas?

did you have a fixed grin on your face like a cheshire cat when you first took it out, if so you will get used to it and the grin will get bigger, all you need now is to swap it for a late model injected camaro v8 and realy scare yourself

Those tyres won't help! I have 235/50/13 bf's on the back of my cortina & they're lethal in the wet!!

Sounds & looks nice, real bargain

Wait till u give it death up the drag strip now thats an adrenalin rush. :ykt:

If your thinking of fitting 15/8inch wheels and u want to race it then the tyre to go for is either hoosier quick time 245/50/15 or better still mickey thomson ET drag radial 245/50/15 the best street legal drag tyre on the market.

just put a new clutch in my capper after waiting a month to do it. b4 it was always dry when i went out in it. took it out a few days ago and it was still a bit damp, i was truly scared to touch the throttle after it would not stop kicking the back out everytime i even thought about accelerating. i dont think itll be going out in the wet too much from now on, its a good laugh when ya mean to do it but when it catches you unawares doing 40 and just hitting a puddle leaves you with your rear wheels a few inches away from the kirb its time to wait for it to dry up.

but thats ok because we live in sunny old engleand. :(
