Admin Mk2Jo Posted December 6, 2007 Admin Report Posted December 6, 2007 Cool Louvres are 10 mins down the road from us
hotrodholty Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 you used to be able to buy them on a sheet of steel about 2ft square from ebay, we used them on a manta and with a bit of playing round looked like the original bonnet had just been punched.
Retromotorsport Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 If your thinking of using Lourves to get air in.. or hot air out, they dont work.. the boundary layer of the car dosnt let hot air out, untill the car has stopped, and the same layer dosnt let air in either, the only thing that will allow air to enter or exit a flat panel that is parallel is the NACA duct, as devoloped by Nasa .. As proof of the boundary layer .. polish your car, and wait for it to rain.. big beads of water on your bonnet, drive down the road and the only time those beads leave the bonnet is when you break, and they fall off the front edge of the bonnet, ie against the airflow ..
MK2Ed Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 If your thinking of using Lourves to get air in.. or hot air out, they dont work.. Ooops
hotrodholty Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 If your thinking of using Lourves to get air in.. or hot air out, they dont work.. Ooops of course louvres and vents work you dumbass. if they dont, do all the super cars, hotrods, f1 cars, planes, helicopters, trucks, boats, space shuttles ect ect ect just have em for show.

They dont have Lourves ... " dumbass" .. they have NACA ducts on all flat surfaces ... If you have anything other than a NACA duct it wont work unless its in a positive pressure area or a negative pressure area .. or of course you can drag it in via Fans .
Rick Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 excuse my ignorance but whats a naca duct

Retromotorsport Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 And the sit up and beg pop is the pinnicle of modern areodynamic design
hotrodholty Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 And the sit up and beg pop is the pinnicle of modern areodynamic design some people on here think it is cant beat a bit of banter
