hotrodholty Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 iv bought single leaf springs for my escy as i was of the impression that these are better than mutli's (dont rs models have singles?).however after reading a couple of different threads on here i really dont know which to use im using the car for fast road use and maybe the odd rwyb. your opinions please

pauln Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Got capri single leafs on my cortina. Slightly stiffer and no chance of corroding or gouging like a multileaf would so should last well.

Muttley MK2 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Its all down to unsprung weight really. Less unsprung weight means less stress on your suspension components. This is important on a rally car but not so much on the road. I would say singles are bettere all round but as said in a previous reply multis are more progressive.
