windy Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hi, I want a proper fitted car cover that's waterproof and breathable for my MK2 Escort (alloy arched). Anybody got any recommendations from covers they have bought? Is there an off the shelf cover for an arched car that fits and hugs the car shape prefectly? I don't really want to take my car to get measured up so i was hoping someone has done so already? Thanks in advance
mk2escortmad Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 i got mine from argos mate, pretty good but its not fitted, i have seen fitted covers on ebay for around £47 hope this helps
shaun1.6ghia Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 mine was from argos an was only £20ish... fits like a dream around my mk2 an its waterproof with a soft layer inside. jus watch out on bonfirenite cus the bonfires sparks burnt fag burn size holes in it. dnt bother with the expensive one... itll only get holes on bonfire night. shaun
stephens_xpack Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 A place called Cover-zone make a few, bit more expensive than Argos though....
oldbus Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Got a breathable all weather one for the van a couple of months ago. I´ll dig out the details tonight when i get back home but i think it was carcovers uk or something similar. Not cheap, paid 160 quid including delivery to Germany but the car ones are obviously a lot cheaper being a lot smaller. Was made for the VW but fits the Ford great....well worth the money if you ask me. ...and i know it looks like a big rat, it was hard work talking the kids out of drawing whiskers on it
Super_Shaun Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I got a brilliant fitted Mk1 Escort cover from CarCovers The advertise in Classic Ford 01933 410851 only 118 inc delivery Its Waterproof and breathable it fits real well and theres a zip up the side so you can still acsess the car without wipping the whole cover off.
