sambo Posted January 6, 2008 Author Report Posted January 6, 2008 Can't help with the axle length but who plays bass? Me! It's a Billy Sheehan attitude2 by yamaha. Absolutley amazing bass. Nothing touches it in my opinion. That big dimarzio pick-up is awesome. It's got a certain "growl" to it. As for colour of the centers? I dunno? Need to get the machining done and worry about it then i think. Does anyone know that if i split the wheels apart so as i can paint them, can i re-use the rubber gasket that goes between them? or shall i simply get new ones? How much are they and where do i get them from?

I wish I could find a piccy of my xpack rs 2000 on 10x13's split rim compo's, I love 10" rims on escorts puddy
Toby Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 I dont know anything about the seals but you can get o ring cord from Apollo Bearings in Crawley on 01293 539539 - really nice people. You need to tell them the o ring cross sectional diameter or the groove sizes. They'll then supply it by the length. They'll take credit card and post if that's what you need. We always put a bit of silicon sealant on our o rings for extra sealing safety on our mould tools. You don't need much though. The best silicon sealant is the really pungent stinky stuff - always reminds me of salt and vinegar in it's smell. Ref Bass - Cool. Love Yamaha stuff. Are you in a band then?
Gonzo Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 I knew you wouldn't be able to resist 'em! They look the f*ckin' tits, man! And gloss black with a thousand layers of lacquer would look fantastic.

Cheers Toby, not in a band at the moment. My last band split about a year ago now Got an email the other day asking if i wanted to join these guys.... http://www.summerbornwild.com/music/ Check the song called "Amazin'" its pretty good! Trouble is, my last band beat these guys at a battle of the bands contest!
Guest MK1gaz Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Cheers Toby, not in a band at the moment. My last band split about a year ago now There should be an oldskoolford band playing at meets and shows .
Toby Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Cheers Toby, not in a band at the moment. My last band split about a year ago now There should be an oldskoolford band playing at meets and shows . I thought that but in the evening, they don't get any attention in the day. The Summerbornwild sound pretty cool and original. Who was your last band? Got a myspace? Good vocals and drums. How do get on with the drummer? That's important with the bass isn't it?
yodi Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Wicked !! They look shit hot but as you I dont like the blue either but the wheels themselves are real nice.. Mind me asking what they set you back ? Yodi
yodi Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 No offence mate but thats even more reason and proof not to leave them blue.
