flyingbanana Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 in retail.... are you all trained to not give a refund or replacement for goods and just be god damm annoying for refund or replacements... i had to go to currys today (again) after my sat nav item was sent off to be repaired ...28 days later get it back and it lasted one day before it broke again....and they still tried to get it send it off to be repaired for the 2nd time..( another 28 days ).........you can guess who won the battle after a 1 hour saying i wasnt leaving until i got a replacement or full refund why thank you curry's for a free upgrade to the next model and 3 yrs warranty but make it so hard to satisfy customers and just generally piss them off before they do what i asked
Messenjah Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 it pays to read uip a bit before u go just go in quoting the sale of goods act and they give u a refund sharpish
mossy Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 i work in asda....and everything is a no argument return with refund or swap for another one if the original is faulty. Electricals must have reciept though. plus you get a £5 gift card too..

FlashCadillac Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 i worked at currys for 2 1/2 years.... yes they are a bunch of tossers the problem is that the normal staff dont have the authority to make refunds of exchanges withtout the managers say so, the managers are only there to make money so they dont want to give you anything extra how long had you had the sat nav before it went wrong??? im guessing you didnt take out the insurance?
Noodles Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 When i worked at halford we couldnt swap sat navs over we had to get the customer to sign a waver

I work in Asda too (for my sins) and its the same up in my store. The customer's get goodwill gestures for anything One day a man pooed himself in the store and because it was our fault that the toilets were too far away he got a giftcard with £20 on it and a full set of clothes!!!!!
flyingbanana Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 i worked at currys for 2 1/2 years.... yes they are a bunch of tossers the problem is that the normal staff dont have the authority to make refunds of exchanges withtout the managers say so, the managers are only there to make money so they dont want to give you anything extra how long had you had the sat nav before it went wrong??? im guessing you didnt take out the insurance? it was 10mnths old...wasnt offered the insurance when i brought it....the doris i was speaking to was a 2nd manager and when i asked to speak to the manager she came out with some bulls**t....she defentialy didnt want to budge...even when i mentioned trading standards...... i think she gave up because i made her late and she said she dont get paid for it.... to which my response was well you should listen to the customer's a bit more then this is the 2nd sat nav that has gone wrong, the 1st one broke got sent back not repaired so they gave me a upgrade ...then it got nicked.....brought a new one and had the same sort of problem...... i will never buy anything again from currys!!!! has they only offer a repair and its a battle to get anything out of them
