These threads always make me chuckle ... but carry on telling everyone you have hidden switches, no wheel etc .. very handy to let the scrotes know what they need to bring and why it wont start ...

Do you know where I live then, from my sig? Don't bother to try to trace my plates either, they are not kept where they are registered, and we don't live on or within sight of a main road. That having said, we have had the travellers knocking for the Mk1 transit, but that stopped when a friend of a friend who is a traveller told em to leave it!

cut off switches are a good idea.

wasnt singling out any one person ... but with these days of Ebay sales and collections etc .. it amazing how many people have adresses and/or have been to peoples houses ..

Just think before you type thats all i'm saying ..

there was a thread on TS about this a few years ago, one guy mentioned his "crow scarer" attached to the bottom of the car ..move the car and theres a big loud bang ... not after he told everyone it was there ..

I wasn't having a go mate, and I do think before I type. Good point to spell it out though. That's why I don't even put North, South or wherever for location, London's a big place. My business address is on my ebay profile for that reason too.

The last thing I bought off ebay (for a production company) was a 1986 Cadillac Brougham. We met him in the car park of a DIY store!! Don't care how dodgy it looked, the guy was a van dealer and I was not happy showing him where several classic transits were parked.
