antz Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 why do people prefer round headlights over the square ones on mk1 and mk2 escorts? ive been looking for a round headlight one to keep in storage incase i ever need one but the price on ebay is horrnedous i regularly see them sel for £60+ and about £100 for the early one saying F-O-R-D. yet i have just bought a square headlight grill BRAND NEW OLD STOCK for £10:30 off ebay and another square headlight grill saying F-O-R-D for £13. why do people pay silly money to have round headlights when square are just as good and a lot cheaper!?

antz Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 but wernt round headlights originally on the bargain models? such as the ghia came with square lights because it was more upmarket than the popular which had round. i think round looks good but i prefer square myself the prices are fooking outrageous for the round grills! i got 2 perfect condition square ones for less than 1 manky round one
