do metric studs fit into a imperial hub?

i know this might sound daft, but its the splined bit that locks it in?

i need some revolution imperial wheel nuts ( 8 ) , and was to convert to metric as there easily available

try mk5,6,7 escort van ones they are metric and they fit into the hubs and they are longer my car has one on either rear for the metric locking wheel nuts

 

transit have longer ones too,think they're the longest ones ford did.

so theres lots of metric studs that spline pattern matchs the imperial hub?

do they all fit? but with different lengths? so fit metric nuts and away you go?

not if you have shelled out 100 quid for locking wheel nuts and alloy wheel nuts :P

it cost £100 for imperial studs and nuts! and they havent arrived? :?

i think ill go with cheap metrics and nuts :D

besides i only need 8 for the rear wheels, new alloys last friday 8)

9x15" revolutions, any recommendations on tyres?

plus where i can get revolution wheel nuts cheap :D

Try looking up classicsteeringwheels on ebay. He does cheap(ish) alloy wheel nuts. He's got the sleaved revo type too.

Just got a full set of nuts my superlites, £16 with a 7/16 thread. Full set of 7/16 43mm long studs for £24.

It pays to shop around :thumbsup:

 

If you wanna go metric think the studs are only about 60p each from main dealers.

burton engineering sell UNF 55mm long wheel studs, im guessing you need longer?

where are you bud?

wolverhampton :-) il prob check the local car places they seem to turn up trumps sometimes
