OLDskool ford - '59 sit up annd beg pop *HELP*

Am trying to register my pop as the dvla have no record of it at all. The DVLA require verification by some kind of organisation of its authenticity etc - does anyone know of any pop owners' or enthusiast sites etc where I may be able to get some help with this? Any ideas or pointers appreciated.

Have you tried ford directly using the chassis number? I had to do a similar thing a couple of years ago with a suzuki motorbike and they were very helpful sending a confirmation letter that enabled me to get it regsitered.

You need the side valve owners club, as my friend is in the same situation with his pop.

 

It's a nightmare i can tell you. He's having nothing but trouble with the whole thing.

You could also try posting on The Popular Front over at the NSRA (National Street Rod Association) as plenty of their members have been through the same thing.

My brother registered his cobra replica earlier this year and got an agee related plate as he could prove most of the suspension and running gear was from older cars.
