steve dray Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Had an excellent day, first time out testing the gas, did a 'dry run' of 14.5 @92.35 mph, first run on the gas made a 13.7 @ 99.17 mph. My goal of the day was to break the 100mph over the line, which I well and truly did on my last run when I managed a 13.3 @ 102.77 mph! Well happy with that, still smilin now!! More to come though as they say, and it hasn't gone bang yet !

w p e Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 The flywheel came lose and damaged the end of the crank last time . That's slicks for you i'm affraid , puts too much stress on the moving parts and also the drivers neck !!!!!!!! what gaz said billy didnt tighten the f/wheel propley after having it refaced whitch it didnt need so it rattled the end of the crank beyound repair so i fitted a new crank and shells whitch was the first major component change since i built the engine for daryll. this time the oil cooler pipe burst mid track due to perishering whitch was a owner error as it was leaking before laying the car up and he forgot about [ shit happens] so a quick reclaim of 3 rods and a quick regrind it will be all good. THATS MOTOR SPORT FOR YOU
