Toby Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Back seats as well 11.2 from a 4 door too!! They must be marginally heavier than a two too! (and a tutu ) That is amazing!! They must be mega spec engines. Not a huge fan of the up-in-the-air stance but thats cos they have to leave the arches intact isn't it? + a bit of weight transfer? Hat's off to them though!!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 13, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted February 13, 2008 Stop hi-jacking my thread or I will delete you all and you will burn in hell
pelvins Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 i have a purge valve on the anglebox only used it a couple of times though as im as tight as an old door
Nettles Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 You can now buy a purge cloud LED. It an high-intensity LED light focused beam that lights-up the nitrous purge cloud. Looks the nuts at night. If I fit NOS on my Anglia I think I'll get some
Chris! Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Stop hi-jacking my thread or I will delete you all and you will burn in hell such a lady
ASBO CAPRI Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 And u can get a kit that pulsates the purge solanoid and makes it sound like a machine gun going off
puddy Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Another way of purging the nitrous is to hit gas in the burn out. This will also purge the fuel solenoid as well, and you will know for certain its ready to go before you get to the lights. puddy
Toby Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Stop hi-jacking my thread or I will delete you all and you will burn in hell Yeah!!! And Purging?? Lets talk about that - thanks Jo I was just about to tell them all!!
KJ 1320 Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 As all the other nitrous experts have already said it is basically to clear the nitrous line of gas and to get liquid nitrous to the operating solenoid ready for the start of your run If you don't purge it you can get a slight hesitation when it first activates
Baz. Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 ime not a nitrous expert kev as you now, i just new the answer to the question asked in osf chat

Guest MK1gaz Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Out of interest what's the average time gained by people using gas then ? On this thread Steve Dray has already has gone 1.2secs faster with his new gas set up and we all know KJ1320 runs 10.8 with gas and 13's without it so his set up is worth 2.5 seconds at least . What about the others then , how much difference has it made (in seconds) and did you purge ?

But I guess it's all down to the HP you throw in...........

Guest MK1gaz Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 So 1.2 secs at least then ? So Andy Harris and Jayson Elvy would easy go 10.3 secs in a normal escort with no chopped up bodywork and still on skinney slicks then

Guest MK1gaz Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 My mates BMW 535i runs 15.2 secs (no gas) and 13.5 secs with approx 70 bhp of spray in horsepower
dommo1 Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 My mates BMW 535i runs 15.2 secs (no gas) and 13.5 secs with approx 70 bhp of spray in horsepower So what in theory 100bhp of nos would put Andy and Jayson on the brink of an 9

Toby Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 You need more and more HP to go less and less fast. An exponential curve of diminishing returns for your money!!
