anyone got an iphone?? verdit please!!

Tempted to get one this summer but hear its not as good as people initially thought it would be.... anyone here got one?

not got one myself but I hear its stupidly easy to smash the screen and render the phone useless

One of my colleagues has one and thinks it's the dogs danglies. In terms of size appearance and fragility they're about the same as my Ipod touch so I can see that it might be easy to break the screen, I guess they need careful handling

I would never have one for a couple of reasons.

 

1. I like to be able to slip my phone in my trouser pocket without fear of breaking it when I sit down.

 

2. I have a PDA, and used to own one with a phone built in. It was a pain in the arse carrying around all the time, because of reason 1.

Up until last month a friend of mine worked for Apple.....They all got given an i-Phone at launch, but he was unable to get a signal in half the places he could before. He ended up reverting back to his old Nokia for work, and just using the i-Phone to replace his i-Pod (and showing off in the process)

 

I think they can only be of any real use to people who do a lot of commuting and want to watch films/recorded TV. Personally, I just loaded a my phone with a 2Gb memory stick and now have hours of music to commute with.

one of my class mates has one and it is as sweet as it looks on the ad, but it's image suits a certain lifestyle ya know what i mean?

 

imagine it being crushed up tight in your jeans against a bucket seat, compared to him pootling in his ax or working on his mac?

 

if you break phones alot don't get one, otherwise i would advise it whole heartadly!
