Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 i went to a local scrapyard yesterday and he had a back axlewith diff for a mk5 cortina a front xmember suspension power steering (no pump or pipes) brakes etc £100 each then another scrapyard has a 205 2.0 pinto in a trany pickup £100 what do you think should i buy any of them at that price i actually am thinking of getting the pinto
negri Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 the pinto price doesnt seem so bad , as long as it was running . no idea about the axle though
bortaf Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 The axle No unless it's a H/D one with a 3.44 diff, power rack YES! fetch £150 on the bay Tranny pinto, no unless you are planning to turbo it cos it will be low comp . If you dont fancy the X member i'll have it, were is it
Admin Vista Posted March 1, 2008 Admin Report Posted March 1, 2008 Tranny pinto, no unless you are planning to turbo it cos it will be low comp . Seconded, I only paid £40 for my ex transit Low compression 205 pinto (I wanted a lump to rebuild)
