Hi, I would like to announce I am arranging another meet up in Exeter on Sunday 15th June from 1pm onwards. the location is:

KMJ Restorations

Swallow Units, Alphinbrook Road

Marsh Barton Ind Est

Exeter, EX2 8QF.

Apologies if this seems to be a long way off but I have tried to avoid clashing with other events/ shows.

Again we will have teas & coffees available during the day.

We had over 55 cars there in Feb, see pics (and it rained most of the day aswell) http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=66554

see you soon

regards.

I'll be there too. Can I be car park attendant again? I'll do anything to wear a yellow jacket! Although I would like a matching unberella, to shade me from the hot sun this time I hope!

i'll most likely be there to :lol:

Probably won't be at this one after all as I'll be living 500 miles away by then

Does that mean your moving to scotland instead of michelle moving down here? :(

We've had a complete change of plans, last week was spent looking around houses, by Thursday afternoon we had found a rather nice 2 bedroom house in Torquay, following a meal with my Mum & Dad on Thursday evening we were brought down to earth with a crashing thud when she told us how much it would cost us (c£1200 a month with bills, food & petrol).

Michelle went home on Saturday & started looking into houses up there & they're so much cheaper up there! (Small 2 bedroom pokey new build down here with street parking £625pcm, up there a 3 bedroom house with garage & driveway £450pcm)

I've been struggling to find a job down here since last November when I was laid off AGAIN!

Michelle would struggle to find a graduate science job down here too

Up there Michelle has been headhunted by an agency for a science job & she has also managed to find me 5 jobs

The cost of living up there is a lot cheaper, cheaper food, cheaper fuel prices, cheaper rent for houses.

Jobs are plentiful & one job Michelle has found me is a 2 year mature apprenticeship where I could get a joiners trade (Ideal for escaping to New Zealand in the future :D )

I can also take my HGV up there for half the price it costs down here, plus could qualify for a £200 ILA subsiduary to aid with training.

CPC training to drive plant is also a hell of a lot cheaper up there too (Up to half the price it is elsewhere in the Country!)

Plus there is free education up there & prescriptions are cheaper too.

It won't be forever, just until we are financially secure & trained & able to move back down & afford to live

I was gonna reply to you all but Neil beat me to it

Its just going to work out better for us this way but I still want to move down to sunny Torquay at some point in the future. We'll come down and visit when the Route 38 meet is on
