Air crash investigation?

 

Just finished watching a program about Flight 143, an Air Canada 767 that ran out of fuel at 26000 feet over Canada in 1983. The pilots selected an alternative landing strip at a disused air force base at Gimli.....................................

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Only to find when they came in to land that it had been turned into a drag strip and there were kids playing on the runway!!

 

 

Fancing a 767 landing on you at the Pod?

 

 

Unbelievably despite landing with the nose wheel retracted, the plane was flown out for repairs within 48 hours and was only retired in January this year!

my 12 year old watches it if its on at a weekend , but he is really into planes can tell you about all the planes at duxford and old planes from ww1 and ww2

I watch it all the time, pretty dumb for someone who has to fly quite a bit eh? It's unbelievable the fook ups that are made and end up costing people their lives though.
