Admin Mk2Jo Posted March 25, 2008 Admin Report Posted March 25, 2008 It's nearly that time again boys and girls, the evenings are getting lighter (don't forget to put your clocks forward 1 hour on Sat 29th March) and hopefull getting warmer too The next date for our regular Ace Cafe evening meets is Tuesday 1st April from 6pm onwards. No need to book, just turn up in your Old Skool Ford (no plastic please) and park in the car park Please remember, no naughty business on arriving or leaving Thank you

FredTransit Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Can i bring the recovery truck? It's a bit shit at the mo......
crapichris Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 anyone know what was going on with the Ace Cafe stewards turning away post 83 cars? I noticed a B and D reg Capri were turned away and saw a sign up that said no 84 onwards cars so I asked the steward what was going on. He said that the Old Skool Ford didn't want any cars in the car park that were later than 83 (A reg). As 84 on covers quite a few Old Skool Ford members with MK3 Capris and MK2 Granadas I assume this is an error in communication. If so can someone in "the management" let the Ace Cafe know for next months meet please.

over_head_cam Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 We noticed a couple of odd cars in the car park and OSF's outside. I'm guessing the stewards got the wrong message

Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 2, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted April 2, 2008 i was there in the d reg capri drove 80 miles only to get turned away lots off nice cars and a good turn out me thinks We are so sorry about that ... I don't know where they got their information from I'm sure Darren (Posse) will speak to the bods at The Ace
H.P.E harry Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 When i turned up i did see a few osf's outside the car park so i thought it must have been full but when i took a walk round i noticed a couple of 'plastic' cars that wern't meant to be in there i.e sierra and even a subaru. Couldn't work it out seeing that it was a old skool ford meet
Steve B Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 So if I buy a private plate (A** *** for instance) for my 5ierra will I get in the carpark Bound to confuse the stewards on the night. I was tempted to come last night..... probably come and say hello next month Steve
