As above really... got a mk2 escort bias pedal box in my mk1 cortina which I tryed ordering a remote servo for today. I understand that I will be running a dual curcuit as of the 2 cylinders on the pedal box? The chap on the phone said I either need to get 2 servos at £150+vat each :? or some companys do an item with two inlets for £400 odd quid

What do people use?

Any help much appreciated

Yes you don't need a servo with a bias-peddle box . Just push the brake peddle harder instead and save £££'s

My mate Steve had a remote servo just on the front brakes with bias pedal box in his mk2 escort 4 door, he said it was a bit too much and used to lock up the front brakes too easy, but he is disabled and needed the extra effort from the brakes, he also had power steering from a mk5 escort fitted.

No servo no bias!! Princess 4 pots and Grany rears, really good combo in my opinion!:thumbsup: I'm not really a pilot though!!

Whats this Servo thing your all talking about?

Ive never used a servo and never ever ever plan to.

I believe the leverage or pot size on a pedal box means less effort is needed.

Your best bet is to try it first, then if needs be you can fit the expensive one. I wouldnt reccomend a servo on just one system.

It still takes some work to stop the fooker at the speeds it does in a short space

I had a go in my mates M3 just before he sold it, we were doing 150 when a lorry pulled out on us, I braked for ever!! Glanced down and we were still doing 100!! When we got out he said, "I haven't even been that fast in it"

Even specifically designed cars don't stop fast from 130 plus!

Offers open for a go in your Kev

I've always said the mark of a fast car is its 0mph to 100mph and back to 0 mph again ..

My friend Duncan held the record a few years back with just under 11 seconds .. then the Veyron did it in 9.9 and then the Ultima did a 9.4 ..

some cars struggle to 60 in 9 seconds let alone stopping again

As for Servos.. they dont make the brakes any better, just make it easier to push the pedal... at the same time deadening the pedal feel .. fine for an ABS traction controlled car but for a sporting car without driver aids its prefered to feel the pedal
