Just opened up my thermostat housing to find there is no thermostat in there!!

I have ordered a new one but am wondering now is it is worth putting it in?? The fan does not run auto off of the thermostat...

So is there any point in putting one back in there???

Cheers

It's meant to be there, fit one.

cant agree more!!!

its only a couple of quid. when you get out there and it boils over in traffic youll be sat there in a cloud of smoke and melted engine thinking 'f**k why didnt i just buy a thermostat!'

no state means it will run colder as the water will always be flowing

You're right, it won't overheat specifically because there is no thermostat, however I disagree emphatically wih your engine builder, what's his name? Acme engines by Wiley Coyote? I'd have a thermostat even if I didn't have a heater. Engines are designed to run efficiently at their design temperature and over cooling whilst not as dangerous as overheating is still not good for the engine.

So as I said earlier, it's meant to have one so fit one.

Cheers For the feedback lads!! Was a bit puzzled to be honest when i opened it up and it was missing... and as you said for a couple of quid i'll drop one in!!
