... what music did you grow up listening to.... music that your parents played all the time?

 

My childhood memories are of The New Seekers, The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey (my dad loves her :mrgreen: ), Neil Diamond and Glenn Campbell and later in my mid teens it was E.L.O. that was always being played by my dad and Barbara Dixon and Barbara Streisand by my mum :lol::lol:

 

Used to drive me mad because I was one of the New Romantics :lol::lol: (Duran Duran, Adam and the Ants, Tears for Fears, Spandau Ballet etc :mrgreen: )

when i was younger my mum always was playin M-people, whch i hated but she did play tracey chapman and michael jackson! and if i was really lucky, a bit of t-rex or the stranglers/clash/the jam...

 

kinda influeced my post 16 punk phase

i can remember when i was little always singing "brown girl in thr ring" :roll::oops: , then all the kids doing the bucks fizz song :lol::lol: , abba :thumbsup: , duran duran, wham etc,the list gose on :lol::lol: , used to go to the local BRSA every week :oops:(when i was younger) where i lernt the barn dance and all the old dances :roll::oops::lol: , but ive grown up with all type's of music, throught the 70's and 80's, and my mum was always up with the time's as she was a young mum :thumbsup:
