Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 3, 2008 Admin Report Posted April 3, 2008 ... what music did you grow up listening to.... music that your parents played all the time? My childhood memories are of The New Seekers, The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey (my dad loves her ), Neil Diamond and Glenn Campbell and later in my mid teens it was E.L.O. that was always being played by my dad and Barbara Dixon and Barbara Streisand by my mum Used to drive me mad because I was one of the New Romantics (Duran Duran, Adam and the Ants, Tears for Fears, Spandau Ballet etc )
richie_stix Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 when i was younger my mum always was playin M-people, whch i hated but she did play tracey chapman and michael jackson! and if i was really lucky, a bit of t-rex or the stranglers/clash/the jam... kinda influeced my post 16 punk phase
