Stu_B Posted August 23, 2010 Author Report Posted August 23, 2010 Not updated this for aaaages! Not realy been using the car much & decided to sell it. Didn't have much luck though, everyone who see's the car loves it & say's that they want it but no one buys it! Ah well the MOT is out now & as alway's it needs more work. Not much just some tidying up of the body & a bit of welding to the inner sills. It's now in it's nice dry spacious storage unit. All insured & for £5 a week I'm going to be working on it over the next couple of weeks & then MOT it. There's a guy who's keen to swap it for a scooby when it's MOT'd but I'm still in 2 minds as I need the cash to get my Cortina done... mind you I'll be able to sell the scooby on at a profit & with less hassle
Andrade Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 mind you I'll be able to sell the scooby on at a profit & with less hassle sounds like normal business to me
Stu_B Posted August 24, 2010 Author Report Posted August 24, 2010 Started sorting out the rear pillar. Had some new metal welded into it last year but it was sitting slightly proud so ground it back ready to be filled flush.
Stu_B Posted September 6, 2010 Author Report Posted September 6, 2010 Not really got a lot done on this. Just been stripping the rear end & digging out any rot. It's pretty bad below where the battery box sat in the boot, and the rear quarter below that. You gotta love sweeping your car up from the floor Ah well, picked up an SIP 150 turbo mig from a car boot sale for £15 so I'll get cracking on it soon. Off work with a bruised coccyx after a drunken bicyle accident so it can't do a lot right now.
Stu_B Posted September 7, 2010 Author Report Posted September 7, 2010 Cleaned it up a bit, removed the fuel tank & started cutting bits out today Few more bits to cut up then I can make up some repair sections & weld them in
Stu_B Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 Not done anything major on this, just cleaning back the metal & cutting out. It's getting there though & I'll start getting new metal in soon although I'm moving house so it's gonna be slow progress. Here's a pic of my mate Paul (who I bought the car from) doing a bit of grinding to keep the thread alive

Stu_B Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 Ok I haven't touched or even looked at this car in months. It's costing me £40 a month to store so I need it gone. First person with £1000 & a trailer takes it away
